We went to the Holiday concert at the Embassy Theatre in December . The music was beautiful and the orchestra was spectacular. It made Christmas very special
The concert featuring the Verdi "Requiem" was a fantastic performance. The orchestra and the chorus were outstanding. The fact that the conductor did not subject the audience to the inane comments that he loves to inflict made the performance even more enjoyable. Good music speaks for itself. A good performance speaks for itself. The conductor should let the music and the performance speak for themselves. His drivel does nothing to enhance the experience. Constantine is an outstanding musician and an excellent conductor, but he is at best a mediocre speaker and a horrible comedian.
The last, little gem of culture in Fort Wayne.
I do not wish a cold or laryngitis on anybody, but I was relieved when Constantine's condition caused him to spare us his usual drivel.
