I've read all the bad reviews, the one stars. I've seen how the manager or the owner tries to contact the customer to make it right. So I'm thinking why should the manager or the owner have to try to reconcile things with the customer? Shouldn't the employees, the first point of contact, be the ones to make the right choice and help people out? On the upside, I've always had good experience with Batteries Plus. However, today my battery on the APC battery backup went bad. I took the battery out to figure out if they would have a battery at Batteries Plus when I called them. I had difficulty getting the battery out but eventually did it. They said yes the battery was in stock would be about $40. Okay I brought the machine and the battery in to them at 8 in the morning on a Saturday. I was the only person in the store. The young man said can I help you?
Just an additional thought. The kid may have done me a favor. When I went to install the Duracell battery I found that the terminals were corroded. I cleaned them before installing the battery.
I was in your Fort Wayne location last Tuesday, and I overheard a conversation that concerns me greatly. When I first arrived at your store, a batteries plus employee named Tim was having a rather loud discussion with a customer im front of the store. The manager had stepped out, and it seemed the conflict was resolved without further incident. Heres my concern. After Tim came inside, I overheard another employee and Tim talking in their break area about the conflict i had witnessed, and Tim expressed his lack of worry because hes always "packin" and that he can handle any trouble with an implied firearm he carries on his person. I'm astounded that a major corporation would allow an employee to have a firearm at work! It really concerned me that your employee implied he would use it as a conflict resolution. Do you know the kind of danger that could put customers in!!! I will not be returning to a Batteries Plus in the near future, but i hope for the safety of your employees and customers you change your policy on employees carrying firearms.
Ordered battery online plus got a 10% discount. Battery was waiting for me a few hours later. Was running a NAPA battery but their replacement cost at least ten dollars more and it had fewer CCA. Friendly service at store. Second time dealing with Tim and will repeat.

Great service! Broke my iPhone screen for 3rd time and it was replaced in an hour every time. Lowest price around plus a discount coupon online!
Thanks,
Yes. I need this battery and I need it put back in this APC Backup. He asked if it was Personal or Business. I said Personal. He checked the numbers went back and got the battery. He then charged me full price for it. $49.00. set it on top of my APC backup and said, " Here you go. Have a nice day." I thought, "Did you not hear me? I said it was personal not business and please put the battery in."
All right, I have anger issues . Part of my retraining is to not get angry in difficult situations. So I walked away. Anger seething inside of me. But he's a young, stupid, insensitive kid. My hands were full with the battery, the machine and other purchases I had made. Did he bother to help? No! Did I mention that I was the ONLY person in the store? I don't need a call from a manager or an owner. I need you to train your employees to be more sensitive to the needs of their older customers. Have a nice day.
