Very friendly, very helpful. Not pushy. Good quality furniture and decent prices. My mom and 3 aunts and I have all purchased furniture from this store and all has been good.
While I am happy with the products I purchased as well as the service in the store, I am irritated enough with the delivery that I do not want to purchase from them again nor would I recommend them to anyone I know. The delivery truck came on time, however, once they saw I had a flight of stairs in my apartment they handed me a 'Delivery Waiver' that they wanted me to sign, releasing them from any legal responsibility if they damage the products or my home. Are you crazy? Why would any sane person sign something like that? They brought my sofa up in one piece and had a rough time doing it (one guy was definitly not in shape for this sort of work). They then informed me after that the sofa can be taken apart with a total of 8 screws... So then... rather than struggle and bang the sofa all over the stairwell... why not just take it apart into 3 pieces? Apparantly time > proper customer service. Sofa/Ottoman also arrived unwrapped. They said they'd never fit all the furniture inside the truck if they left them wrapped... So all of our stuff is piled in there on top of each other? In the end, I told them I wasn't signing the waiver. The main guy was clearly irritated but later told me it was just a notice, at which point I responded 'Oh so then it doesn't need to be signed anyway". He didn't seem to like that and the other guy walked out in a huff. We finished up and I wished him well, no response. Rude, inconsiderate of customer needs, and expects customers to sign a waiver for a flight of stairs because they refuse to take the furniture apart and bring it up properly. Customer service people, it isn't that difficult. I think the owner just needs to find a different business because they clearly don't know how to treat their customers. Also, like other people have said here, phone conversations were very brief and rushed. I hope I don't have any trouble with my furniture or billing because honestly I already feel like this whole purchase may have been a bad idea.
Great selection. Competitive prices. Attentive (while not being pushy sales people). Would definitely begin here when furniture shopping!
Didn't really like my experience with American Home Store. My furniture a table and bed were delivered without the correct parts. A table delivered without the base. Twin bed delivered without the slats. It was just a mess! But, to their credit, they did come back the next day to fix the table, and they did find the correct slats for my twin bed. It's just the whole experience was terrible, and the sales agent "Beth" I believe, never even called to apologize. I do love my table, and the bed is what we expected. If they work on the delivery issues, and follow-up with customers they'd get my business again.
Worst experience ever. Do not shop here. They messed up our custom order so it took over 9 weeks for the right order to come in. The whole time we were kept in the dark about the process because they always "had to talk to the owner" who was never there. Frustrating to say the least with zero compensation for their mistakes.
