The food was wonderful! Very home style like. The staff was attentive and plaseant. They offer plenty of meal specials as well.
Ordered soup, a sandwich and fries for lunch. The wait was a little longer than expected, but I like the food here so I didn't mind. Our waitress ended up forgetting to bring me the soup, but I was full anyhow from the sandwich so I didn't mind, and figured I would just ask to have it removed from the bill. The server didn't know how to do this and went to ask for the manager. I was told the soup could not be removed because it was paired with the fries. I gave them opportunity to come up with a reasonable solution (other than soup to go). They were unable to come up with anything. I had to hold their hands and explain what the right to do was. I suggested they remove the soup and fries combo from the bill as they can't remove just the soup. From a customer service perspective this seemed like the obvious solution to me. I like going to Angels cafe and everyone is friendly, but their staff could use some serious customer service training.
We always have such wonderful, friendly service here. We did not have to wait a long time at all. I got a bacon cheeseburger & fries. The soup is very yummy & the fries are not so good. The burger was good.
September 2016 Friendly, small town atmosphere. Attentive wait staff and laid back food and environment. A great place to have a delicious and affordable lunch or breakfast. It's slow now; acoustics may make this place very noisy when at capacity.
The food is absolutely amazing, however, that is if you can get to it before the gnats do. We were told they were having a bit of a problem and were comped more of our meal (minus what I decided to take home.) Friendly service and great food! Honestly just really need to do something about the gnats.
September 2017 I need to edit this review. The last two times my husband and I have gone here, the wait staff has been clueless and lackluster. This last trip resulted waiting over 30 minutes for food, when the restaurant was maybe at 25 percent capacity. When it arrived, fries were soggy and sad, and food was tepid at best. Our drinks weren't refilled during the entire course of the meal, and they never gave my husband soup with his meal. I don't what is going on with this place, but Angel's, you guys really need to get it together. We'll be going to Cosmos, and fellow foodies, I suggest you do the same until these guys get back to their old selves.
