I wish I could give The Maids 10 stars! They did a one time cleaning of my home after a remodel and truly amazed me with how thorough they were (and I'm picky!!). They were kind, professional and did a great job at communicating with me to insure I received a truly tailored cleaning service! I would recommend this comapny to anyone. They did a terrific job at lifting all the stress of a post-remodel cleanup from my shoulders and I can't wait to have them back again!
Highly not recommended!! I hate writing, but this review is so necessary. It is the day before Thanksgiving. I spoke with Darlene on the phone Monday and still have not received a call back regarding the supposedly “guarantee” of their work. I purchased for my sister a move in ready cleaning service, as she was moving for the first time in 20 something years. I knew she had a lot of packing and clean of the old house (and still working full time; 12 hours a day some days), so I wanted her new home to be move in ready. As a former realtor and a person that gets her house cleaned regularly, I thought she deserved this and would appreciate being able to walk into a spotless home, ready to unpack. This was definitely not the case. The Maid (four of them) came Friday before last, home completely empty, newly renovated and did such a poor job. My sister was quite surprised and wasn’t going to say anything. I encouraged her to call and let them know and they came back out and only addressed the few items she pointed out (she did not know to do a hand swipe on everything to ensure it was clean); however she did hand swipe the kitchen counters and bathroom counters, two essential areas of a home, and they were dirty, as well as the toilet in the guest bath (this is a clear sign of poor cleaning). When I arrived in town on Monday (week of Thanksgiving) to help my sister with unpacking and moving still from the old house, we immediately noted the shower in the second bathroom was not clean (looked clean on the surface, but not with the hand swipe) and the kitchen pantry was not cleaned (filthy to the eye), the entryway windows were still dusty (but clean to the naked eye). I’m not sure what move in ready means to The MAid service, but as a professional cleaning service provider, I would think it means and includes cleaning the shower, pantry (especially) and cabinets. My sister was told they only clean the cabinets if asked (Uhh). For 140 per hour, I don’t think we should have to ask you to do a job that you do professional for a living. I called and spoke with Darlene Monday and explained my dissatisfaction. She said they were only give a two hour window, which was just a starting point as my sister did not know how long it should really take for an empty house with nothing in it (as I explained to Darlene). I asked Darlene if the lead informed my brother-in-law of the services they were not able to get to and that they needed more time to appropriately clean (she did not know). Then I asked, however wouldn’t the bathroom and kitchen be two essential area they would/should have started in? She agreed; so, I’m not quite sure how these areas could have been missed. As stated, to the eye, the showers and counter tops looked clean before The Maid had even arrived, so my guess is that they did not do as thorough of a cleaning because of this. Very very disappointed, as now they are not answering my call (I called yesterday and today); now me and my mom will have to start cleaning the kitchen so we can finally begin unpacking and then prep for Thanksgiving dinner; my sis and hubby are still at work and just haven’t had any time to focus on the new house. I would love to get a phone call from The Maid and definitely feel I’m due a refund!! Will post pics if I can figure out how - lol. Like I said I typically don’t write or post reviews, but beware of this service provider, be sure to ask the right questions and definitely do a hand swipe of everything; because I don’t feel guaranteed about anything!!
This group did an incredible job for us. They were very professional and our house looked fantastic after they were done. Highly recommend them.
