I bought a car from Liberty Motor Cars. BIG MISTAKE. On my way home from the car lot I noticed the gas gauge was full. I called them back and they said they only put 1/4 tank of fuel in there cars. The gas gauge didnt work. I put 13 gallons in the car. A week later the intake manifold gasket needed to be replaced. A short while later and I mean short while the engine blew. That cost me an additional $3500.00. I could of bought a new car. There EXTENDED WARRANTY they state you should get isnt worth anything either. It didnt cover one problem I had with the car. This place should be put out of buisness. DO NOT BUY FROM LIBERTY MOTOR CARS. Oh yeah, if you do buy from them and have a problem and try to call them, plan on only getting them to answer your call the first time. Once you call they write your number down on a sheet so they know its you when you call. GOOD LUCK.
Do not buy from this dealership; they are sneaky and devious, despite all appearances to the contrary. I bought a 2000 Jetta from them, with which I have had nothing but problems since I bought it. It will cost me more to repair the damn thing than I paid to buy it ($4165)! The engine coil is bad, the locking mechanism broke and fell into the car door, the alarm system goes off every time the door is opened, the window fell into the door... it would be a shorter list to say what is right with the car and not what is wrong! But I am naïve when it comes to cars, and they suckered me. Don't let them do the same to you! Avoid this dealership completely - don't make the same mistake I did.
BEWARE : THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR NAME TO "THREE RIVERS AUTOMOTIVE" IN MY OPINION IT SEEMS TO AVOID THEIR OLD BAD REVIEWS !! If you want to get taken advantage of (especially if they can see they have an opportunity to do so) you should go to this car lot. Not only did they rush the sales process even more than the rush I already was in after being advised that my time was short; but the the sales reps underplayed the situation to the extent that I left the lot in a car that was completely unsafe to drive after being inspected. Aside from this... only a small portion of any sort of repairs that were needed were mentioned (one of which was so underplayed that it sent the car into negative equity from the start). The car had a problem with the front axle. Anyone who knows anything about vehicles could foresee how that could become a problem (IE: axle falls off, driver loses control, an accident happens). Keep a clear distance from this place!! They even admitted the fact that they do not fully inspect their vehicles and simply purchase them at auction and push them off onto unsuspecting customers. If you want to be treated like a product rather than a human being...by all means go to this place. Furthermore, the loan representative was friends with a member of this place and recommended me to him. I feel worse for her as she has been a tremendous person to work with...it is a shame that her friends would prefer to treat people like this. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM! Look at the BBB; the only other report listed is a scam so similar to my own that it sickened me. The reply was even more sickening. Do yourself a favor and go to an actual dealership..not these people. Don't let some of these reviews fool you! It doesn't take much to realize that they are friends of friends after taking a look at the friends lists! They would much rather push their own problems on people that they call "customers" than admit when they themselves have wronged people. What in the world happened to these dealers morality?
