BEWARE! Although this location appeared to be a slick and well oiled operation, we were charged for additional services that were not necessary or provided. Visually inspect and verify that all the seals are in place on equipment such as dolly cart and blankets before you leave. Also look over your charges. Although we were given an apology, we were told that they couldn't reimburse our account!!
The best customer service I've ever experienced. I came in about a half hour before close with two boxes I had packaged myself and Emily (I believe that was her name) helped me choose, cut down replacement boxes, and repackage them for a cheaper shipping cost through UPS/FedEx and did it all for free, about 60 dollars less than what everywhere else in town was trying to charge me. She was so helpful and had such an upbeat and caring personality. Such a life saver beyond explanation. I spent five days trying to figure out the boxes, materials, and pricing for my items and still was going to have to spend an arm and a leg to get better boxes, bubble wrap, and shipping and she fixed literally everything in about 15 minutes through "a team project" she came up with, haha. Thank you for everything and for giving me a reason to make my first Google review. :)
Let me just say...the lady here is amazing! She has been sooo helpful with everything! She is doing this all on her own. I watched 3 people come into the store and her ask for help from other people behind the counter that just ignored her! She continued to kick ass and get everyone taken care of with absolutely no help! Such a wonderful person and I would definitely come to this store for any U-Haul needs.
I had a wonderful experience with U-Haul on Goshen road in Fort Wayne, IN. Emily made sure I was well taken care of before I made my big trip to New Mexico and I am so thankful. Emily was very knowledgeable and demonstrated superlative interpersonal skills. I also noticed that many other staff members at this U-Haul location were very competent!
