Not thrilled with Marriott for this stay. We were meeting reps from another company who chose this hotel. When I called to make a reservation I was told that Executive suites were all they had left. My co-worker made his reservation the same day as the stay and got a regular room $50 cheaper. When I checked out the clerk didn’t want to print out a receipt, she said they’d email it, not wanting to go through the hassle of trying to get a receipt after the email got spammed, I insisted on a paper copy. The clerk copped an attitude, never asked how my stay was or if there was anything else they could do.
Better than the noisy Courtyard close by, but can still be noisy. Staff is always very attentive and accommodating: genuinely friendly. This is a new property, and the rooms are very nice. The fitness center is small, as you'd expect - I've seen smaller - with 2 treadmills, an elliptical, and free weights. The hot breakfast is well-stocked. Shares a parking lot with several choices of fast food & sit down dining, as well as grocery & discount retail. More sit down restaurants just across the street. Easy access to I-69. This is one of the better Fairfields, mostly because it is new, but the staff keeps it nice. Stay on the front side, away from the common parking lot, and in the back, and you'll likely be a fan, too.
Overall I like the Fairfield Inn. The staff is friendly and helpful. A couple pictures I posted are simple items that they seem to miss. Such as; the frame has holes for little rubber bumpers. They were never installed. Result is the doors close with a bang. The sheets are always undersized and have slipped off more than once during the evening. The thermostat has a sensor to see if someone is on the room. Great concept except when you're sound asleep and don't move enough to detect any motion then the AC and Heat do not kick in. They should be thermal sensors which would detect when a person is in the room
Nice and quiet area even though it's off a fairly major road. Service has been great. Beds aren't the most comfortable but they aren't the worst.
My stay was perfect! Staff was very helpful, very polite, rooms were wonderful, entire hotel was clean. I recommend this hotel with two thumbs up!!!!
