This place is AH-MAZING! It's been life changing after taking our miniture schnauzer to Flying Colors. They taught us how to better communicate with Winston and he is much more attentive and respectful. The last walk before going to Flying Colors was so bad because he was pulling, barking, and freaking out about everything that we literally had to pick him up to carry him home. Now walks are super enjoyable with him right by our side so much so that we look forward to spending more time with him and taking him on new adventures. Thank you to the staff at Flying Colors!
I adopted a sweet cairn terrier, Tori, with hardly any manners or previous training. She was 6 years old at adoption, and I was 5 months pregnant. We were told she was “nippy” with kids, which is why she was surrendered. I soon learned how clueless with commands, she really was. I didn’t have much time to train her, so I look her to a Flying Colors Canine Academy for a free assessment and chose a package that sent her to school for a couple weeks and then training at home and in group classes for 6 months after. My son is now 1 year old, and Tori has been amazing with him! She listens well to me, and to this day we are baffled as to why someone would surrender such a sweet dog. She just needed some guidance with training and Flying Colors have been critical to our household safety.
Not helpful at all. I've called twice (months apart) regarding problems with my puppy, and my options are to sell him to a new family, or live with him as the disobedient, destructive, puppy he is now. For a person who is dealing with 5 chronic illnesses, this is simply unacceptable. The woman on the phone actually said to me, well good luck selling him! What the heck!? How heartless do you have to be to say that?! They knew my health situation too. All they had to do was try to help me out. I had already gone through 2 training sessions at another place.
Staff are great! 9 times out 10, I suspect it is the owners that need the training in order to effectively communicate with their pet. With that being said, the staff deliver this training in such a manner your dog will want to engage and learn. It is an exciting process to bear witness to. Finneus is a different dog thanks to Flying Colors Canine Academy. He looks forward to class and I love learning how to teach our dog so he can be successful. It truly was the best decision we could have ever made for him. Thanks Flying Colors!!! ☺
