Very nice park. The disc golf course was a lot of fun.
With two miles of (smooth and maintained) paved walkways and miles of trails in native woods and along the scenic St. Joseph river, this park is a somewhat hidden gem in NE Fort Wayne. Shoaff Park offers so many things to do. You can access the River Greenway, golf at the par 3 course, play Frisbee golf, check out soccer fields, put in at the boat launch, cool off at the splash pad, let the kids run at the playgrounds, enjoy the tennis courts, book one of the two pavilions for a family reunion, and more. The paved trails are plowed and salted in the winter so you can break free of being a "mall walker" when it turns cold. There is a VERY CLEAN public bathroom available during the warm months and a portable bathroom year round. Expect to see all types of wildlife including deer, herons, owls, turtles, snakes, and squirrels. Whether you walk, run, skate, bike, or canoe, you can do it all here. Check it out.
Beautiful park. I don't golf but I've been told the course is decent also. Wonderful place to just relax and enjoy the weather or get out for a run or ride.
Nice pretty park. A lot of things to do if you like to be outside.
It's not the easiest boat launch with moving water and no docks to stop boat while you park a trailer it turns in to a 2 man show. The park is great but they've just dropped trees to make a frisbee golf course. Should have mulched the trees to make the path ways more environmental and kid friendly. This kind of trail clearing leads to erosion and dense unusable sections of the woods.
