The lactation nurses weren't pushy like many other hospitals. Of course being Parkview a few days later we got to see our son's name on the billboard. :)
I would aware all other patient to be very clear upfront before you go for a checkup to his hospital and make sure about the code they use to bill your insurance. So that you don't have to pay your full visit.
The nurses dressed my 5 year old daughter up like the Dr. And really calmed her for the experience.
I had my child here in January and it was a wonderful experience. The L&D nurses were so attentive. We even got a quiet dinner on our check out night.
I wouldn't go any where else! I just had my son may 2017 and I loved the nursing staff and lactation consultants. You will not be disappointed in going here. Hands down the best place!
I had my first child here in January of 2016. I came in the earliest hours of the morning and had a fast labor, around six hours with only two hours spent in the hospital (I was already 7 cm dilated when I arrived), but the process was much less than ideal. I had come in previously to tour and created a personalized birth plan, of which I had several copies: one the hospital kept, I kept, and then one I brought to the hospital the night I went into labor to give to the delivery nurses. The night of delivery not a single doctor or nurse looked at the plan. I had two nurses, one of which had to be removed from the room for her rude behavior, while the younger nurse was absolutely incredible. I looked to her through the labor more than my own hubby, lol. I had chosen to not receive an epidural, and this nurse (I wish I could remember her name) was just fantastic. I hated that I only had one option for delivery, which was laying on the bed (they said it's the only way they offer). I was having a lot of trouble pushing my son out, and wanted to try the squat chair early on, but they wouldn't let me and instead proceeded to vacuum birth him. I did not receive any explanations, and I said SPECIFICALLY in my birth plan I wanted skin to skin IMMEDIATELY after birth, but they took him away without a word. I didn't get to hold my baby until after they weighed, measured, cleaned, and clothed him. My delivery doctor was an ass; he was annoyed and agitated the whole time, especially when I couldn't push my son out. Things got much better in the post partum area, where the rating would definitely raise to 5 stars, but the delivery was terrible for my first birth. I'm now due for our second little one, and my delivery experience was bad enough for me to be considering delivering at DuPont instead.
Before my visit I made very clear if the visit was cover, that time they said the it was cover.
I am very disappointed with the billing department. As they had a discrepancy in the definition of my visit with my insurance, so my insurance didn't cover it at all. The only thing they had to do is change the code with respect to my insurance.
