I went in to Wine Down on a date and I couldn't have been more impressed! Loved the atmosphere, food was amazing...I wanted to try everything! Especially the cocktails!!! The bar really knows their stuff
Went on a girl's night out last Friday. There were 6 of us who were very excited to see each other. The food and atmosphere were great, however, 5 out of 6 did not catch the 20% gratuity already added into our bill. While we were all fine with it being included, it would have been nice for them to have the common courtesy to tell us the gratuity was included, we all tipped on top of the 20%! Yes it was on our bill, we did not catch it but then again we were not expecting it. I noticed it when I put away my bill the next morning. 1. I have never been to any other place where gratuity is included for a party of 6, it has always been 8, and 2. Every time I have been to a place where gratuity is included, they have always had the courtesy to let us know up front, then it is my choice based on the service if I want to tip on top of that.
Fantastic food and as one would expect a great wine selection. I took away a star as I was dining alone and felt pressured to sit at the bar for my meal.
Waitress was MIA for 99% of our meal. Took about 15 min to get our drinks and she delivered the last of our 4 meals out to the table 25 min after the others and never apologized. It had obviously been thrown in the microwave because the meal was mushy and over cooked. She seemed annoyed and bothered when we asked for our checks. Normally a great, fun place to eat. Not this time.
Filet and brussel sprouts were excellent! Fish tacos were only ok...a little dry. Drink menu was impressive and delicious.
The our server was wonderful too! I can't wait to come back soon to try everything else!
